The planting is the star of the show in this Rathfarnham garden – lots of lush green planting create a vibrant backdrop to a tranquil water feature.
Our customers had had enough of their very standard patch of grass garden. They wanted something striking, contemporary and low maintenance. This design, with curving lines, a sculpted centre-piece and leafy green ferns, delivered on the impact that they wanted. Check out the before and after photos to see the transformation.
Our clients didn't have a lot of space to work with but they wanted a garden that would be fun for children and adults. A great playhouse was high on their list, so we created a Rapunzel tower with spiral steps. For adults, there's a spacious seating area and large water fountain. Using different levels in the garden allowed us to maximise space and interest.
Our customers wanted to reduce the maintenance required for this Raheny garden and to create a sunny seating area. As the best sun fell on the end of the garden, we created a large natural stone patio with a water feature to the rear of the garden. This was linked to the house by a curving stone pathway, opening up garden access even on the wettest of weeks.
A complete makeover for this town garden in Stillorgan. A curving, terraced deck area with inset lighting captures the early morning sunshine near the house. Later in the day, a sandstone patio seating area captures the evening sunshine. The two seating areas are linked with a stone pathway, garden water feature and planting.
For most of us, a well-designed, well-built patio is central to our garden. It's often the link between the house and garden, and the most well used of all the garden spaces. Here's a selection of patios that we've created for our customers over the years.
